A Celebration of Excellence: The Spirit of Excellence Awards

The Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents The Spirit of Excellence Awards to our community. This is a prestigious event celebrating the invaluable contributions of Black churches and their leaders. This is your opportunity to recognize and honor the ministry leader or leaders who have made a profound impact in our community.
President Dawn Clopton and Committee Chair Daysha Jackson-Sanchez are excited to bring this one-of-a-kind event to the Fort Wayne community to celebrate our beloved church leaders in our proclaimed “City of Churches”. “Our spiritual leaders play a pivotal role in our communities and our lives. These leaders go above and beyond to minister to our spiritual well-being. It is important that we honor our ministry leaders and acknowledge their dedication, sacrifices, and the impact on the lives of those they’ve ministered to.”
The nominations are open from January 13, 2025, through February 1, 2025, until 11:59 PM EST. To nominate your ministry leader today find the link below on the Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter website (fortwaynedeltas.com) or on social media, both Facebook and Instagram. https://form.jotform.com/FWAC_DST/spirit-of-excellence. Following the nomination period, each nominee will be informed of their nomination, highlighting their dedication and inspiring work.
After all nominations are submitted and closed, everyone will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite ministry leader. The voting will start on February 3, 2025 until February 14, 2025, closing at 11:59 PM EST. The winners will be revealed during "The Spirit of Excellence" Awards event to be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 6:00 pm at New Covenant Worship Center, 3420 E. Paulding Road.
